What We Charge
No hidden surprises. Here's what our work costs, so you know where you stand before we start.
All prices are plus GST unless we've said otherwise.
Minimum Charge
Our minimum charge is $220. That covers the first hour on site plus getting there. Most jobs run longer, but it means even a quick call-out gets done properly.
Gas Labour- Standard Gas Work
Our rate is $140 an hour. After the first hour we bill in 15-minute blocks, so you only pay for the time we're actually on the tools.
Getting To You
We're based in Beachlands, so a small travel fee keeps things fair whether you're up the road or across town.
Around Beachlands, Maraetai and Whitford — $40
Further out, Botany, Howick, Pakuranga and beyond — $80
Over the Bridge & South of Papakura extra $40
Gas Safety Certificates and Code of Compliance
Fixed prices, so no surprises.
Gas Safety Certificate — $55
Gas Safety and Compliance Certificate — $150
The labour to do the work isn't included in the certificate price.
Self-containment inspections (NZMCA members)
Local, around Beachlands, Maraetai and Whitford — $90 (incl GST), no travel fee
Botany, Howick and Pakuranga — $105 plus GST, travel included
DEsign and Layout
Some jobs need proper gas design and layout worked out before any spanners come out. For those we charge a $250 consultation fee at the first visit. Go ahead with the job and we take $115 of that back off your final bill. We'll always tell you upfront if your job needs this.
MARINE AND RV GAS WORK
Every boat and motorhome is different, so we quote this work job by job. You'll get a clear price before we start. No guesswork, no creep.
Quotes are available for work over $1000. Smaller jobs we will give you a rough verbal estimate before we commence work.
A Bit of PLUMBING TOO
We're registered plumbers as well. So if there's a leak, a tired hot water cylinder or a tap that won't quit, we can usually sort that out while we're at it. Same rates as above.
