SAIL WITH CONFIDENCE WITH MARINE GAS CERTIFICATION & COMPLIANCE ACROSS AUCKLAND & SURROUNDS

WHY MARINE GAS CERTIFICATION & COMPLIANCE IS ESSENTIAL
Marine Certification: Your Safety, Our Priority
At Coast Gas, we specialise in Marine Gas & RV certification and compliance. We ensure your vessel not only meets but exceeds the highest safety standards before you hit the road or the water.
Compliance is Non-Negotiable
In New Zealand, when working on any LPG system installed in a vessel is classified as high-risk and must strictly comply with AS/NZS 5601.2:2020.
Cutting corners isn’t an option when it comes to gas safety—even small issues pose serious risks. That’s why only a fully qualified and licensed gasfitter from our team will inspect your system and issue the mandatory Gas Safety Certificate.
This provides you with absolute peace of mind: your gas system is
safe, fully compliant, and recognised by all New Zealand insurance companies.
KEEPING YOU SAFE ON THE WATER: PROACTIVE MARINE SAFETY
At Coast Gas, our number one passion is keeping Kiwis safe. That’s why we stress the importance of regular compliance checks for your vessel.
Our certified gasfitters regularly encounter setups in yachts and launches that pose serious risks. By having your gas system thoroughly inspected and certified, you’re doing more than just complying with regulations—you are actively protecting yourself, your passengers, and your valuable property.
A Thorough Check You Can Trust
Our dedicated team performs a comprehensive examination of your vessel's entire gas system:
- Appliances: We check gas cooktops, water heaters, and heating systems.
- Components: We inspect all lines, connections, and fittings.
Every component is tested to ensure it functions efficiently and safely. Even if your system has been running smoothly for years, our inspections are vital for detecting hidden leaks or wear before they ever turn into a hazard.
Don't wait—schedule your professional safety inspection today and enjoy your time on the water with confidence.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS AND YOUR PEACE OF MIND
Gas certification isn’t just good practice—it's a legal requirement whenever gas work is carried out on your Launch, Power Boat, or Yacht.
After completing any installation, repair, or upgrade, you must be provided with a Gas Safety Certificate and a Certificate of Compliance (CoC). This is your guarantee of compliance.
Our Recommendation for Longevity
While annual certification isn’t mandatory (though some marinas may request it), we highly recommend servicing your gas appliances every couple of years. Regular maintenance is the best way to:
- Maintain efficiency
- Reduce gas usage
- Identify potential leaks early
